Midfielder Piotr Zielinski is already “speaking the same language” on the pitch as his new teammates at Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper also highlight the blazing preseason form of striker Mehdi Taremi.
Polish international midfielder Zielinski only joined Inter this month. The 30-year-old made the switch from Napoli on a free transfer.
Zielinski has been in training for just over a week now. That is hardly enough time to fully get up to speed.
But nevertheless, the Pole has already started in two friendly matches for Inter.
Zielinski was in the lineup for a friendly match against Pergolettese last week.
And yesterday, the former Napoli midfielder started against Las Palmas.
Zielinski is working quickly to acclimate and use this preseason period as an opportunity to get on the same wavelength as his new Nerazzurri teammates.
Piotr Zielinski “Speaking The Same Language” As New Inter Milan Teammates
Zielinski is certainly a big name reinforcement in midfield.
But the 30-year-old is coming into a team that already has a very well-established midfield setup.
The starting trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella all had outstanding seasons last time around. And the likes of Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani are growing into the team.
The existing midfielders in the squad are not just quality players. They also have clear roles and an understanding of the system of play that Inter use.
Fortunately, Tuttosport note, Zielinski is already appearing to get the hang of it.
The Polish international has had no trouble showing for the ball or finding teammates with his passes.
Zielinski appears to already be using the preseason period to memorize the kinds of runs he is supposed to make.
The Pole will make his own unique mark on the team. But in turn he will have to adjust his game to the team.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport also hail striker Taremi for another very impressive performance in his third friendly of preseason with Inter.
