Kilmarnock made it past Tromso in their Conference League qualifying round as St Mirren suffered a gut-wrenching late collapse in the Europa League.

Derek McInnes’ side took a decent 2-2 draw away to Norway with them from the first-leg but knew they’d face a barrage from their opponents in front of their home crowd. But Joe Wright was the hero on the night in Norway as goal took the Ayrshire club into the next round of qualifiers on what was an excellent night for the club.

It was another story across the country for Stephen Robinson’s Buddies as they lost 3-1 to Brann after a brave performance. It was an early goal from Joachim Soltvedt after five minutes that gave his side the lead.

Sub Alex Iacovitti levelled with a header in the second-half as Saints looked to cling on and take the game to extra-time.

But two late goals within a few minutes of each other from Felix Mhyre and Aune Heggebo did the damage for the Norwegians who take their place in the hat for the next round.
