Milan have a new striker in Alvaro Morata, who won the European Championship with Spain in Germany a few weeks ago. The forward, who did not leave Atletico in the best possible way, was presented this Friday as a new Lombardy player and made headlines.
“I had several options to return to Italy, but as soon as I spoke to Zlatan and the coach I didn’t have to think any more. No team wanted me that much, I felt I was already a Milan player during the European Championship,” the striker told the media.
The Spanish international explained why he chose the Rossoneri: “I need confidence and they showed that they believe in me. Finding a team with this organisation is difficult, and I can’t wait to take the field. I can’t promise titles, but I will run like a dog to push and help the team: a leader pushes his teammates to their maximum.”
Elsewhere, Morata spoke about his goalscoring targets. The Madrid-born player was full of praise. “My personal objective? I don’t care if I score 50 or 60 goals. I want to win“, he said.
