With the holidays fast approaching, a South Jersey dispensary wants to make sure its clientele is in high spirits for the season.
Between Nov. 1 and Dec. 21, Brute’s Roots is running a sweepstakes to win a pound of marijuana. No purchase is necessary. To enter, individuals ages 21 and up can visit the dispensary at 6206 Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor, according to owner and President Kelly Gatto.
Brute’s Roots will announce contest results 4 p.m. Dec. 21 at the store.
To comply with state regulations, the dispensary will offer a daily voucher redemption limit for winners.
Prizes include:
- First place: 16 vouchers, each redeemable for 1 ounce of Brute’s Roots flower at $1 each
- Second place: One voucher redeemable for three Brute’s Roots 1-gram vapes and two Mafia Melts 10-pack gummies at $2
- Third place: One voucher for 3.5 grams of Brute’s Roots flower and a holiday-themed bong at $2
Since its October 2023 launch as the state’s first independently owned adult-use cannabis grower, Brute’s Roots has become known for affordable pricing on in-house products and award-winning strains.
The giveaway comes as Brute’s Roots recently ramped up operations at its 35,000-square-foot cultivation and manufacturing facility. According to Gatto, the uptick has allowed the company to re-enter the wholesale market.
Thanks to a combination of indoor and outdoor growing methods, Brute’s Roots says it’s able to offer a diverse selection of flower and signature products. It can also maintain competitive pricing, with in-house items priced 30% to 40% below market value. As a result, customers can save an average of $5 to $10 per transaction due to tax-inclusion pricing.
In a statement, Gatto and Brute’s Roots co-owner Jim DiNatale emphasized their commitment to the community, saying, “As South Jersey locals, we want to be the comfortable, go-to dispensary for our community where you can find safe and affordable cannabis. We have customers that thank us for doing what we’re doing.”
