A FOOTBALL stadium earmarked to be used at Euro 2032 is at risk of being incomplete due to financial issues.
The Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy, is currently in the process of being renovated.

Work on the 40,000-seater ground started last year, with some parts of the stadium closed off to the public on matchdays.
Fiorentina have been playing in front of a limited crowd as a result – but that can be considered the least of their worries.
The finances are currently far from stable, with over £49million still missing.
Those funds were expected to cover installations, equipment and finishing works.
Fiorentina need to find the money immediately to avoid the risk of being cut as one of the Euro 2032 hosts.
The financial burden currently rests on the city and the club.
If an agreement is not reached between the club and the local authorities by the end of December, Fiorentina could withdraw from the renovation project entirely.
It comes after AC Milan and Inter Milan recently got the go-ahead to buy the land around San Siro and build a new stadium.

Fiorentina director Alessandro Ferrari recently admitted: “We are the ones who would benefit from a new stadium, but we are not even involved in the project.
“We don’t agree on many things that the council are doing, we even went to court, but the local authorities went ahead with their own ideas and Fiorentina are losing a lot of money over it.
“That’s not to mention the delays in getting the work done. We saw that at San Siro, with different investment, it will be knocked down to build a new 80,000-seater arena with the clubs responsible for the project.
“We are still open to evaluating anything the council wants to show us, but unlike a few months ago, there is the real risk now that Fiorentina will be cut out of the project entirely.
“This is what will happen if we don’t reach an agreement by December.”
The new-look Artemio Franchi Stadium was initially expected to be completed in 2026, but due to the ongoing issues it will now likely be 2027.
Fiorentina currently sit rock bottom of the Serie A table with just five points from 11 games.
