The final edition of the 2025 European Tour will take place this weekend, as we’re just one week out from the European Championship.

Some players decided not to participate/withdraw at the last moment, but there’s still a quality field and a lot to look forward to in the three-day event.
2025 German Darts Championship predictions
With some regulars not playing this weekend, we are seeing certain players in the seeded section who typically don’t receive byes.
Gian van Veen is the #14 seed in the event, a scenario we’ll see more of in the future, as he has shot up the rankings over the past year.
He’ll have some challenges along the way if he advances deep into the tournament this weekend. Despite falling short against Luke Littler in the World Grand Prix, he’ll look to carry momentum from his incredible tournament record average against Littler.

Gerwyn Price and Daryl Gurney have an interesting history regarding their clashes on-stage, with the World Matchplay being a recent example of when tempers flared.
If Gurney can beat Christian Kist in the first round, he’ll face Price in the second round in what would be an anticipated matchup.
Nathan Aspinall could be eyeing the quarterfinals this weekend. He has a winnable first-round game against a German qualifier, and then would go on to play potentially Ross Smith and Damon Heta.
Smith has played well on the Pro Tour, but so has Aspinall. Heta hasn’t performed well at all on the big stage recently, opening the door for Aspinall to pick up a couple of wins.

James Wade could be bounced early, with some early-round challenges.
Jermaine Wattimena would not be an ideal first-round match for Wade, as he’s coming off a couple of Players Championship event wins in the past couple of months, including one this week.
He then could face Wessel Nijman, who is another of the Netherlands’ best up-and-comers.
Lastly, Cameron Menzies could be in for another run with his quarter of the bracket appearing to be open.
The changes in seeds could provide us with some early must-watch matches, giving us the chance to see some spectacular games in the 2025 Euro Tour finale.
