The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 120th consecutive day on Monday.
Meanwhile, it posted gains against most of the other major currencies during today’s session.
The PKR closed at 279.30 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.
Top economies are very hurt because of the oil crisis in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has blocked the crucial strait for over 90 percent of traffic while recovering economies like Pakistan are allowed to traverse it. Money players so far remain confident on further appreciation in the PKR’s value, a trader told ProPakistani.

Meanwhile, it gained Rs. 1.32 against the British Pound (GBP) but lost eight paisas against the Euro (EUR).
It gained 55 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and 68 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
