GYEONGJU, South Korea (Bernama-Yonhap): South Korea and China signed seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on Saturday, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing the presidential office of South Korea.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Korea-China Summit with President Lee Jae Myung and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, during which the two leaders discussed ways to expand cooperation across various sectors.
The MoUs cover a Korean won-Chinese yuan currency swap agreement, enhanced cooperation in trade and services, a joint economic cooperation plan for 2026-2030, and the joint promotion of a start-up partnership programme.
Also signed were agreements on bilateral cooperation to combat voice phishing and online scam crimes, and on phytosanitary requirements for the export of fresh Korean persimmons to China. – Bernama-Yonhap
