After a long pause, the Pakistani rupee faced a sharp decline against the Euro and the British Pound on Tuesday. While it continued to gain slightly against the US Dollar for the 124th day, the local currency lost nearly Rs. 5 against both the Euro and the Pound.
The rupee closed at Rs. 279.22 against the US Dollar, gaining three paisas during the session. It also posted a slight gain against the UAE Dirham, while slipping marginally against the Saudi Riyal.
