Jake Paul has signed reigning undisputed super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner to Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
The signing further reinforces the commitment from Paul‘s promotional outfit to help develop women’s boxing.
Seven-weight world champion Amanda Serrano has been with MVP since 2021 and recently signed an unprecedented lifetime deal with the US-based company.
Meanwhile, they also have women’s WBO super middleweight champion Shadasia Green on their books as well as undefeated prospects Tamm Thibeault and Krystal Rosado.
“MVP is strategically building a roster of fighters who deliver the W both inside and outside the ring, and we are thrilled to welcome Alycia to the family as our newest women’s world champion,” said MVP co-founders Paul and Nakisa Bidarian in a joint statement.
“Alycia is one of the premier athletes in combat sports and signing her is a meaningful accomplishment for our promotion as we now have exclusive relationships with 2 of the top 5 boxers in the world.
“We look forward to Alyicia’s MVP debut and are actively evaluating the right timing and event for her return to the ring.”
Baumgardner (14-1) currently occupies the No.8 spot in the Ring Magazine women’s pound-for-pound list and last competed in September 2024 against Delfine Persoon.
The bout was ruled a no-contest after the Belgian suffered a cut above her right eye from an accidental clash of heads.
Two years prior, Baumgardner established herself as one of the best boxers in the world by beating Mikaela Mayer in a WBO, IBF and WBC unification clash.
She subsequently became the undisputed super featherweight queen by picking up the final piece of the four-belt puzzle, the vacant WBA strap, against Elhem Mekhaled in February 2023.
Baumgardner then went on to defend her crown later that year against Christina Linardatou but was swept up in controversy after testing positive for the banned substance mesterolone in a pre-fight sample.
She was later cleared of ‘intentionally’ ingesting the drug and will now resume her career under the MVP banner.
“I’ve always believed in betting on myself, and signing with MVP is the next big move in that journey,” said Baumgardner.
“MVP has proven they’re leaders in women’s boxing, creating the biggest opportunities for fighters like me to shine.
“This partnership is a natural fit—not just for my career but for the impact we’re making on the sport. The future just got even bigger.”
MVP didn’t confirm when Baumgardner will make her promotional debut.
However, it seems almost certain she will feature on the blockbuster all-women’s card at Madison Square Garden on July 11.
The monster event is headlined by Katie Taylor and Serrano’s much-anticipated trilogy bout and will be streamed live on Netflix.
