Jordan Davis set an NFL record thanks to his big play on Sunday during the Philadelphia Eagles’ 33-26 win over the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa.

Davis blocked a Josh Karty 44-yard field goal attempt in the final seconds of the game and picked it up and returned it 61 yards for a game-ending touchdown. Had the Rams made the field goal, they would have won 29-27. Instead, Davis’ blocked field goal returned for the score sealed the win. It also created a very bad beat for Rams bettors.

The play was thrilling and helped the big man Davis become a record-setter. The 336-pound defensive lineman became the heaviest player ever to return a blocked field goal over 50 yards for a touchdown.

Not only was that a record, but Next Gen Stats tracked Davis at 18.59 mph on his top speed, which they say is the fastest speed by a player weighing at least 330 pounds since 2017.

Davis had an all-time game in the win. He forced a turnover on downs with a stop; blocked two field goals, had five tackles, a sack, a QB hit, and the touchdown. Those who saw what he did at the NFL Combine probably are not surprised by this.
